Did Michael Jackson ever sing a song that was meaningful to his life? Later in his career, I believe he did, but in establishing himself as a singer from youth to manhood he was mostly directed to just sing the words. Someone else created the music. Those songwriters could have been equally successful crafting commercial jingles for a new shampoo.
The lyrics are not the best part of many of Michael’s hit songs, such as “ABC”, “Thriller”, and “Off The Wall”. These songs represent words written to sound better with specific music and most importantly for Michael’s talent. If you read the words aloud without music they are underwhelming.
