Our society is inundated with junk communication. My email box is full of junk I did not request. My postal mailbox is full of junk mail I did not request. My mobile phone rings daily with junk calls from people and companies that I do not want to talk to. Social media is a junk dispenser.
Thankfully, in the modern age, the list of things that are not junk remains the same—a good book, a long walk, a delicious meal, a hug from a friend, and a kiss from a mate. I am not sure I want to live in a world where any of these five essential experiences are replaced by AI or VR.
