It is easy and comfortable to reflect on the past as better than the present. Today is a remarkable time, with new technologies transforming large segments of society. However, I believe there was another decade grander than the present.

The 1970s was a decade marked by significant social, cultural, political, and technological transformations. This period is often celebrated for its profound impact on various aspects of life. I don’t remember seeing Wilt Chamberlain play basketball or Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee alive. My earliest memories of the 1970s are Watergate, Ali versus Frazier II, Nixon going to China, Chief Jay Strongbow, afros, “Three The Hard Way”, and the “Planet of the Apes” cartoon. Importantly, this decade was much more than just the memories of a toddler.
